Ofsted Report

OFSTED

All state schools in England are inspected by Ofsted on a regular basis.

Bidston Village CE Primary was last inspected in September 2023. The report from this inspection is available below.

Our school has been judged to be a requires improvement school, we are continuing to work hard to improve our school in all areas.

The summary from the last OFSTED reads:

·         Bidston Village School is a harmonious place where pupils feel valued and cared for.

·         Pupils enjoy coming to school. They develop strong and trusting bonds with their friends and with staff. Pupils told inspectors that this helps them to feel happy and safe at school.

·         Staff expect pupils to behave well and to be respectful. Pupils respond positively to these high expectations. This helps to ensure that the atmosphere throughout the school is calm and purposeful.

·         The school has high expectations of pupils’ achievement. However, in some areas of the curriculum, pupils do not achieve as well as they should. The school has recently refined some subject curriculums. Nevertheless, these new curriculums are in the early stages of delivery.

Past inspection reports, as well as other data related to the school, can be found on the Ofsted website here.

The Department for Education website can also provide a wealth of detailed information and data relating to the school.
