We use a 3 week rolling menu for school lunches, with a hot or cold meal option for each day.

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a Universal Infant Free School Meal (UIFSM). This offer does not depend on your household income or whether you receive any benefits, every child in these year groups is eligible to take up the offer. Being entitled to UIFSM does not necessarily mean you are entitled to support available during school holidays or in the event of school closures, that support is based on whether you are eligible for FSM.

School dinners are priced at £2.00 (information below about payments) and our fresh deli-bar option is always available to children. Please see below for how to pay for school meals.

Free School Meal (FSM)

A free school meal (FSM) does depend on your household income and if you receive certain benefits. If you meet the eligibility criteria it is extremely important that you claim for this. See below for eligibility.

Are you eligible to receive Free School Meals?

Make sure you don't miss out! 

Your child may be able to get free school meals if you get any of the following:

  • Income Support

  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit

  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)

  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

  • Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)

If you are a foster carer, and receiving a fostering allowance, you are not eligible to claim free school meals for those children you are fostering.
