Purpose

The Christian Ethos Group is a group of children, from KS2, who are chosen by their peers to represent their class. The role of the Ethos group is to help our children understand our school Christian Values, to respect all religions and to ensure that all are being treated in a respectful manner, as stated in our British Values. We meet in order to discuss aspects of our school’s commitment to our Christian ethos; to develop links and relationships with St Oswald’s Church and members of the community. This group aims to continue to build upon the good work that has developed within our Christian distinctiveness, promote our school values, enhance children’s education and develop links within the community and St Oswald’s church.

Activities so far

The Ethos group has continued to take part in The Remembrance services at Flay brick Cemetery. The services are conducted by the Rev J Smith and attended by the Mayor of Wirral.  We look forward to attending again this year and honoring our fallen heroes.

We have also had the pleasure of hosting an afternoon tea with members of St Oswald’s church. The children were able to make new links with members of the church through sharing a meal, reading books and playing games.
