Pupil Parliament
Bidston Village Pupil Parliament gives children the exciting opportunity to be a part of decision making here at Bidston Village CE Primary School. Pupil Parliament representatives will gain experience in decision making, responsibility and leadership, while developing their communication skills. Children will be elected by their fellow pupils to represent them and their voice. Their role will be to express the views and opinions of their peers in order to improve the running of our school and to play an active role in decision making here.

My name is Sally Greenwood, and I am proud to head up the Bidston Village School Pupil Parliament. I thoroughly enjoy this role because it gives our children a real, meaningful voice in shaping the day-to-day life of our school. Together, we listen to student ideas, discuss key decisions, and work collaboratively to ensure our school community continues to be a positive, welcoming, and inspiring place for everyone. We were also incredibly fortunate last year when our representatives had the unforgettable experience of traveling to London to visit the Houses of Parliament, seeing democracy in action firsthand!
Year 6 - Robyn & Mila
Today marked our very first Pupil Parliament meeting of the new school year! It was lovely connecting with all our new class representatives. With a busy year ahead, we’re eager to get to work and will meet again in a few weeks to look through student feedback on our new behaviour curriculum.
Our Pupil Parliament representatives enjoyed an unforgettable trip to London, highlighted by an inspiring visit to the Houses of Parliament. In addition to touring the home of UK democracy, the children took a scenic stroll through St James' Park and were thrilled to watch the iconic Changing of the Guard outside Buckingham Palace. Before catching the train home, everyone refuelled by tucking into delicious pizza together. It was a long and busy day, but a thoroughly enjoyable experience where our pupils represented the school brilliantly and did us all proud.
