S4YC provides the Out of School Club at Bidston Village Primary School, offering flexible and convenient wraparound childcare for families before and after the school day.

Our club provides children with a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment where they can relax, play, socialise with friends and take part in a wide range of activities.

Opening Times

Breakfast Club
7.30am until the start of the school day

After School Club
End of the school day until 5.45pm

Children have access to a range of age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, games, construction, physical activities, outdoor play and opportunities to relax with their friends.

Breakfast & After School Food

All children attending Breakfast Club are offered breakfast, with a selection including:

• Cereals

• Toast

• Fresh fruit

• Water

Children attending After School Club are offered a light tea, with options such as:

• Wraps

• Sandwiches

• Vegetables and dips

• Fruit and other light options

We cater for children's dietary requirements and allergies. Parents must ensure that all relevant dietary, allergy and medical information is kept up to date on their child's iPAL account.

Where is the Club?

The S4YC Out of School Club is based within the Infant building at Bidston Village Primary School.

All children attending Breakfast Club should be dropped off at the Infant Hall.

All children attending After School Club should be collected from the Infant Hall.

In the morning, S4YC staff take children directly to their classes ready for the start of the school day.

At the end of the school day, S4YC staff collect children directly from their classes and take them to the Out of School Club.

Registration & Flexible Booking – iPAL

All children must be registered with S4YC through iPAL before they can attend the Out of School Club.

Registration ensures that S4YC has the essential information required to safely care for your child, including emergency contacts, medical information, allergies, dietary requirements and authorised collectors.

All Breakfast and After School Club sessions must be booked through iPAL. Sessions cannot be booked directly with the school or club staff.

A Place When You Need It

Parents do not need to worry about whether a space will be available.

S4YC guarantees that a place will be available for registered children at all Breakfast and After School Club sessions.

Our iPAL booking system is live, giving parents the flexibility to make bookings whenever childcare is needed.

For After School Club, you can book on the same day right up until 2.00pm.

This means there is no need to reserve sessions weeks or months in advance just in case you need them. Whether you require regular wraparound childcare or occasionally need an additional session because your plans have changed, you can book through iPAL when you need the childcare.

Once an After School Club booking has been made, the club team can see your child on the live register and will know that they need to be collected directly from their class.

Cancellations

We understand that childcare requirements can change.

Sessions can be cancelled or amended through iPAL providing they are more than 7 days away.

Once a booked session is within 7 days of the session date, it cannot be cancelled.

Parents should therefore check their childcare requirements before the 7-day cancellation period.

Holiday Club

S4YC does not currently operate a Holiday Club at Bidston Village Primary School.

However, children can attend one of our Holiday Clubs operating from other local S4YC settings during the school holidays.

Holiday Club locations, availability and sessions can be viewed and booked through iPAL.

Information about our after school clubs is shared through My Child At School (MCAS).

Places for after school clubs are limited and allocated at random for fairness - we will let you know whether you have been allocated a place or not. If you would like your child to attend clubs, please complete the relevant consent form on MCAS.
